INEC extends PVC collection date by four weeks

Following the rescheduling of the 2015 general election, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has again extended the deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) by registered voters by four weeks to March 8, 2015.According to Secretary to the Commission, Mrs. Augusta C. Ogakwu, INEC hopes that this extension will finally avail every registered person yet to collect his/her PVC the opportunity to do so in readiness for the general election.INEC had on Saturday, February 7, 2015, rescheduled the 2015 general elections by six weeks due to security challenges. The national election (i.e. Presidential and National Assembly) had been rescheduled to hold on March 28, 2015 while the state election (Governorship and State Assembly) holds on April 11, 2015.
