Jermaine Jones Injury: Updates on USMNT Star's Recovery from Hernia Surgery

New England revolution midfield talisman Jermaine Jones will be out at least a "couple of weeks" as he undergoes sports hernia surgery. The 33-year-old USMNT ace will have the operation in Southern California within the next 24 hours, according to MLSSoccer.com's Craig Forde.Jones also posted a video on Instagram offering thanks for the support of his fans, as well as suggesting his own timetable for recovery:Forde states it's unclear exactly when Jones picked up the injury, even suggesting the ailment could be traced back to his time with Turkish side Besiktas. New England will hope his recovery is as quick as the player indicates ahead of the start of the new MLS season.
