Four bankers nabbed over Bauchi bank raids

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested four bank officials in connection with last Sunday night bombing of banks and police Area Command office in Azare, and confirmed that N32.4 was looted, just as it disclosed that it foiled an attack on Yelwa village and arrested nine suspected notorious gang Sarasuka sect.Speaking to newsmen in his office in Bauchi, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Adoba said the four bank officials arrested were suspected to have conspired to loot the bank before detonating the planted bombs, saying one of those who unleashed terror on the banks were also arrested after being shot at his side. He was arrested when he could not be attended to at the hospital where he went for treatment .
