Ijebu Chamber of Commerce honours Oba Sule

The Olu of Odosenlu, Ijebu in Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Shafi Sule, was on Thursday honoured by the Ijebu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, for his contributions to the socio-economic development of Ijebuland in particular and Nigeria in general.Recognising the one-time President/Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria at the chambers 49th Annual General Meeting/Award Ceremony and Investiture of a new president, the leadership of the chamber said it decided to honour the monarch for his steadfastness and commitment to the creation of jobs for many Nigerians.The chamber said the industrialist was a firm believer in hard work, diligence and uprightness, adding that he was one of the few Nigerians that had the business vision and acumen to turn around the nations socio-economic landscape.Describing the monarch as a rare breed, who has impacted positively on the lives of many people though several poverty alleviation schemes he embarked upon, the chamber stressed that this special attribute had, no doubt, endeared Sule to many people.While presenting the award to the monarch, the President of Odua Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Chief J.A.S. Oyekan, described Sule as a leader, whose life had been dedicated to the advancement of mankind.
