Kwara To Renovate Offa General Hospital

The Kwara State government will renovate the General Hospital Offa, in Offa Local Government Area with N250 million.The only Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) local government chairman, of Offa Local Government in the PDP-controlled state, Alhaji Saheed Popoola, discolsed this to journalists in Offa on Wednesday.Alhaji Popoola, who commended Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed over the proposed renovation of the general hospital, said the good people of the local government appreciated the magnanimity of the governor in this respect, stressing that this was the example of a leader showing himself as the father of all.The council boss also said that the gesture would go a long way to complement the ongoing efforts of the present administration towards bringing effective health care service delivery to the people of the council.The chairman, who urged the governor and the people of the state to continue to work together in the general interest of the state, also pledged the support of the local government in partnering with all the stakeholders to take Kwara State to an enviable level of development and to the satisfaction of all and sundry.He urged members of other political parties in the state not to misconstrue the position of Offa, over its decision to pitch its tent with the ACN, saying that the beauty of democracy was for people to be able to make their choice because of their culture and backgrounds.Popoola enjoined the people of Offa Local Government to continue to support the present administration to enable it deliver dividends of democracy to them as planned and make the council a good example for others across the country to emulate.
