Suspected kidnapper killed in Delta

SECURITY operatives on Thursday killed a suspected kidnapper in Ughelli, Delta State in a gun battle that also led to the arrest of two others. Security situation worsened in Ughelli and its environs over the last one week following the activities of kidnappers who have been on the prowl in the area. It was learnt that one of the suspected kidnappers who were arrested at about 10:00am along the Oviri-Ogor road sustained bullet injuries and is currently receiving treatment in a yet to be ascertained hospital. Sources said the police and other security operatives in the area, swung into action after a tip off and apprehended the suspected hoodlums as they were trying to escape.
