Nyanya: 12-year-old boy get 12 strokes of the cane for theft, trespass

A Grade 1 Area Court, Nyanya, Abuja, has ordered that a 12-year-old boy be given 12 strokes of the cane for theft and trespass. Judge Hassan Ishaq, who gave the judgement, also ordered the teenager (name withheld) to clear the bush around the court premises, after he pleaded guilty to the two-count charge.
