Hall of Fame to honour football heroes

Hall of Fame International has announced its plans to honour outstanding African football stars in its inaugural edition of celebrating notable achievements in the continent.The representative of the organisation, Tunde Adelakun, says the body will also recognise other football officials who have been exemplary in their positions.He said, "The idea is honour and celebrate our present and past football heroes in Africa. The membership of our Hall of Fame will cut across all spectra of African footballplayers, coaches, referees, administrators and any other persons who have made a contribution towards positively putting African football on the world map."He said the process will include nomination of candidates by the general public on its website and scrutiny of the nominees by the Board of Trustees."The Board of Trustees can also unilaterally make nominations and award Hall of Fame membership to any person deemed worthy from the society," Adelakun added.
