Presidency invites NLC

The Presidency has invited the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress for a meeting at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday.A labour leader, who confided in our correspondent, said the Presidency did not reveal the agenda for the meeting.The source stated however that the meeting might not be unconnected with the planned removal of fuel subsidy.The source said, "Well, I call tell you that the Presidency has invited us to a meeting."They did not tell us why they are inviting us. However, we can assume that it may have to do with the subsidy thing. The reason for the meeting was not stated."The NLC had vowed to call out Nigerians to resist the planned removal of the petroleum subsidy by the government.
