60 wrestlers for Oshiomhole wrestling championship

THE forthcoming Governor Adams Oshiomhole International Pro-Wrestling Championship slated for February 2012 is gathering momentum as about sixty wrestlers across the globe have signified interest to participate in the event.However, Edo State born wrestler, Lucky Okhuelegbe popularly known as 'Strong Bone Erujeje' is expected to lead other wrestlers to the State for the weeklong wrestling event billed for two centres in each of the three senatorial districts in the State.Co-ordinator of the event, Prince Hammed Olarenwaju Mohammed in a chat with Tribunesports stated that wrestlers like Aurora from Trinidad and Tobago, Masato Tanaka (Japan), Wes Brisco (USA), Chris Bambikiller (Austria), Michael Kovak (Hong Kong), Banilux Bulldog (Scotland), Starbuck (Canada) and Sicodelico (Mexico) will feature in the event.Other wrestlers expected are Hulk Power of Benin Republic, Tya Mupepe of DR Congo, Noudem Michel of Angola, Stephan Mba of Cameroun, USA Bing of Congo Brazzaville, Moss from Greece, Eirik Justra from Norway, Ridvan Farag from Kuwait,Meanwhile, as part of efforts to ensure a successful organisation of the championship, the Local Organising Committee of the tournament has placed order for two wrestling rings from a ring manufacturing company in Australia.Prince Mohammed noted 'The LOC decided to use the most modern wrestling ring for the championship because of the caliber of world class wrestlers that will participate in the tournament tagged 'Parade of the Champions'.Even one of the rings is ready while the second one is under construction and will be sent to Nigeria as soon as its construction is completed.''The championship is being organised in appreciation of the numerous contributions of Governor Oshiomhole to the development of sports in Edo State. It is going to be one of the best organized wrestling championships in the African continent.
