NFF appoints Kanu as Ambassador

THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday announced the appointment of former Super Eagles skipper, Nwankwo Kanu as Ambassador of Nigerian football.The 35-year old, who was present at the official announcement of an international friendly football match between Nigeria and Argentina senior teams in Lagos on Wednesday, is the most decorated football player to have come out of Africa.We made the decision in the interest of Nigeria football. Kanu surely deserves it, and we are very happy that he has accepted, said NFF President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari.Also, another Nigerian soccer legend, Peter Rufai, has been appointed Team Coordinator of the national U-23 mens team (Dream Team).The NFF also announced the appointment of Mr Robinson Okosun as the Psychologist for the Super Eagles.Meanwhile, NFF has also appointed media officers for the national teams.Colin Udoh, was appointed the new media officer of the Super Eagles to replace ex-international, Peterside Idah, who left the post after the 2010 World Cup.Arafat Aliu is the media officer for the national U-23 team, while Samm Audu will work with the Flying Eagles.Morakinyo Abodunrin will serve in the U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, while Gracious Akujobi is the media assistant for the Super Falcons.
