GOVERNOR Theodore Orji of Abia State has described the crop of police officers deployed to the state as diligent in their duties and maintaining sustained good and cordial working relationship with other security agencies in the state.He pleaded with the Police High Command to allow the officers consolidate and stabilise the peace and security they have put in place in the state, especially the war won against kidnapping, armed robbery, among others.'Let me thank the police for posting hardworking officers to our state. They have shown commitment to their work and sustained very good working relationship with other security agencies in the state. Please, do not post them out soon so that the security situation they put in place would thrive and subsist'.Orji spoke when the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Mr. Azubuko Udah, called on him while on working visit in the state during which Udah, on behalf of the Police Inspector General, thanked Orji for the numerous patrol vehicles and his many other sustained logistics assistance to the state command.The DIG told Orji that he was in Abia State as part of his tour of the South-East states to assess what was on ground towards enabling the police to meet the security challenges facing them with a view to ensuring sustained security of lives and property during the ember months and Yuletide period.He said: 'Other top police officers are doing the same in the other five geo-political zone of the country. I will, during this tour, meet and discuss with AIGs, commissioners, officers and men to know their problems and challenges with a view to directing them on how to cope with them'.
