Almeria threatens court action over Kalu Uche

SPANISH club Almeria is spoiling for war after Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax failed to come up with the million Euros transfer fee of Nigeria international Kalu Uche.Uche moved to Xamax in the summer after Almeria was relegated from the Spanish La Liga.Xamax was to have paid for his transfer in August but it is in the red now and must present financial guarantees to the Swiss league after the winter break if it is to continue to feature in the top flight.The players are yet to receive their November salaries, while club owner Bulat Chagaev is facing charges of financial crimes and the Chechen businessman may even be deported after it was discovered he does not have a residence permit.'Almeria are prepared to go to court,' said club spokesman Juanjo Moreno.'We have tried to reach Xamax but they have failed to respond. We have therefore decided to report the matter to FIFA and at the same time, we will contact a lawyer in Switzerland to go to court.'Uche has fired six goals in his last six games after a rather difficult start at the Swiss club.Xamax are fifth in the 10-team Swiss championship with 26 points from 18 matches.
