Spurs, Lyon after me -Lawal

IN spite of Nigeria's U-23 team's poor performance at the recently concluded CAF U-23 Championship held in Morocco, a member of the squad, Raheem Lawal has claimed that top European clubs have shown interest in securing his services.Lawal, who plies his trade in the Spanish Second division where he currently plays for Atletico Belares disclosed that no fewer than two top clubs in Europe are squaring up with African side, Zamalek of Egypt for his boots.Lawal who scored three goals in Nigeria's 4-1 win over Algeria in their last group match of the tournament informed MTNFootball.com he has recived several offers including one from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.Besides the English Tottenham Hotspur, he mentioned French side Lyon as well as top Egyptian club Zamalek as the other two teams eyeing him.'I have had several offers coming my way following my performance in the game against Algeria,' the versatile midfielder revealed.He added that Tottenham and Zamalek have been persistent in calls with a mouth-watering offer. However, the former Flying Eagles star, stated that he was not in a rush but hopes to make the right move by January.'I am not in a hurry, I will take my time and by the grace of God make the right decision,' said Lawal who was named by CAF in the tournament's best eleven.
