Cleric warns FG against removal of fuel subsidy

As the FederalGovernment continues moves to remove the controversial oil subsidy, the Bishop of Ilesa Diocese of Anglican Communion, Rt Rev Samuel Sowale has advised the government to stop the idea, saying it would increase the pains and pangs of the common people in the country.The cleric who spoke to Community News in Ilesa, Osun State, recently contended that the fuel subsidy would further compound the problem of the masses.The Bishop, who also decried the activities of the religion fanatics of Boko Haram, described their activities as evil, ungodly and barbaric, adding that many lives had been wasted by the fanatics.According to him, 'no one does evil and go unpunished. The security agencies should rise to the challenges by curbing the activities of the Boko Haram sect.'He urged the Federal Government to strive hard to arrest those behind the dastard act and bring them to book, pointing out that those behind the Boko Haram sect have committed sin against humanity and God, adding that nobody could account for the lives and property lost to their attacks.
