Huge allocation won't end insecurity ' Banjo

A three-time governorship candidate for the National Conscience Party in Ogun State, Mr. Lanre Banjo, on Tuesday said the huge percentage of the 2012 budget devoted to security might not solve the insecurity problem in Nigeria. Banjo made the submission in a statement made available to our correspondent via electronic mail. He said it might not be effective if the highest percentage of the money budgeted for security was used to acquire weapons and pay for human resources. He said what were urgently needed among others were intelligence gathering, spying equipment and unmarked vehicles to stay on roads. He added that with epileptic electricity, the efficiency of his suggestion might be hard to attain.
