Private University Games: Turn out excites NPUGA boss

PRESIDENT, Nigerian University Games Association (NPUGA), Dr. John Busari Okoro has described the turn out of participating universities at the 4th NPUGA games holding at Western Delta University (WDU), Oghara Delta State as sign of brighter future for the games.Dr. Okoro who also is the Director of sports at Igbinedion University, Okada affirmed that the increasing number of universities taking part in the games is welcome development for the games in its fourth session comparing with the maiden edition of the games held in 2005.He said ' I am overwhelm with the fast growth of participating universities at the games, when we started it in 2005, it was only five universities namely, Lead City University, Ibadan, Bowen University, Iwo, Babcock University, Ilishan 'Remo, Benson Idahosa University, (BIU), Benin-City and Igbinedion University that kicked-off the games,''The following edition that was hosted by Lead City in 2007 witnessed more universities like Crescent University, Abeokuta, American University, Yola, Joseph Ayodele Babalola University, (JABU), Ikeji-Arakeji and Al-Hikmah University from Ilorin. The 3rd edition experienced same increasingly development, but this 4th edition is great as we are having eleven universities at the event,
