Anthony Village table tennis friendship tourney holds

THE yearly Anthony Village table tennis friendship tournament serves off tomorrow with Doyin Pikuda hoping to defend the title he won at the 2010 edition.The championship, which is in its third edition, will have players drawn from Lagos, Abuja and Benin City competing for honours. According to a member of the organising committee, Felix Okoh, the event draws participants from the working class and business community with most of the players confirming their participation.'Our high profile sponsors have been duly informed, while new ones have been approached to extend their kind gestures and some players from Abuja and Benin City have indicated their interest to be part of the championship this year and it promises to be exciting,' Okoh said.The three-day competition ends on December 18.
