Keshi invites 30 home boys to Abuja camp

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, has invited 30 domestic league players to camp as he begins the rebuilding process of the senior national team.CAF Confederation Cup semifinalists Sunshine Stars of Akure supplied five of the players, with last years WAFU Cup champions Sharks of Port Harcourt providing four while two-time Africa champions Enyimba had three. Federation Cup champions Heartland, new Premier League champions Dolphins and Warri Wolves also had three players each.All 30 players were drawn from 12 Premier League clubs, with the exception of National Youth Service Corps member, Stephen Morah, a 22-year old graduate of Industrial Chemistry from the University of Jos, who was discovered by Keshi at the NYSC Games last weekend.Expectedly, Warri Wolves goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim tops the list of the goalkeepers with Okemute Odah of Sharks, Paul Godwin of Enyimba and Moses Ocheje of Sunshine also called-up.Heartlands Chibuzor Okonkwo leads the pack of defenders, which includes former Flying Eagles player, Gbenga Arokoyo, U-23 teams Markson Ojobo, ex-Golden Eaglets captain, Fortune Chukwudi and Supersand Eagles star James Okwuosa.Former Al Ittihad of Libya striker Izu Azuka, who has been snapped up by Sunshine Stars, Enyimbas Uche Kalu and Premier League record goalscorer Jude Aneke are among the forwards.The players are expected to report at the Bolton White Apartments hotel in Abuja on Monday, December 19.
