Blue Gate recognised for UPS technology

Offered on the stable of Tripplesea Group, the Blue Gate Uninterruptible Power Supply has emerged the best UPS in 2011.The African Product Forum 2011 awards, organised by the Institute for Government Research and Leadership Technology, adjudged the UPS as a leader in the market based on its reliability, ruggedness, energy efficiency and protection against surge in electronic appliances.The Country Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Africa and Middle East of the institute, Mr. Moses Essien, told journalists during the awards that the UPS was certified by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, adding that it was designed to suit the local environmentHe said, "We took out time to study other UPS products that were nominated for the award. We took time to know the comparative advantage of each product. Blue Gate, which controls over 65 per cent of the mass market in Nigeria as a result of the products high quality, was given the award for the best UPS 2011 because of its reliability, ruggedness and power efficiency."The former Director-General, SON, Dr. John Akanya, also acknowledged that the UPS was specially designed to support the African hardware market. The General Manager, Tripplesea Limited, Mr. Osita Godson, in his response, said the online series of the UPS ranging from 1kva to 400kva, had all it took to support the power needs of customers.Godson said the online series of the UPS were very suitable for elevators, photo laboratory machines, industrial equipment, mission critical equipment, transmitter, motors, compressors, pumps, radio and TV stations.Others, according to him, include photo labs, computers servers, computer centres, Information Technology equipment, small-medium network, television sets, Compact Discs, digital video display, VDCs, musical equipment, public address systems, and hospital equipment, among othersWhile cautioning customers on refurbished and substandard products, Godson assured that Tripplesea had the capacity to support the market with the state-of-the-art Blue Gate range of products, especially rugged power back ups that could withstand the tough operating Nigerian environment occasioned by ever dwindling power supply by the service provider.
