Soyinka Decries Poor Security

NOBEL laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has decried poor state of security in the country, describing the problem as a deep-rooted malaise.Soyinka, who was in Calabar on Saturday to deliver a convocation lecture on 'Faith, Science and Morality of Nature' at the 5th convocation of the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH),said: 'You can secure this nation with a fraction of any amount they budget for it. Police work has gone bad' there is no more pre-advanced investigation going on.'What we are seeing in the abandonment of security. It is not the money. Security consciousness is a very sophisticated matter and it is coming out.
