Tigana signs for Shanghai's Shenhua

Former France midfielder Jean Tigana said Sunday he has signed as coach for Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.Tigana, who resigned as Bordeaux coach in May, said the move represented a fantastic opportunity.He told a news conference, I havent come to China for financial reasons. If I wanted to earn more, I could have stayed in England.Tigana, who won the European Championship as a player alongside Michel Platini in 1984, previously managed Lyon, Monaco, Fulham, Besiktas and Bordeaux.Tigana follows Chelseas Nicolas Anelka in agreeing to move to China.
