Sacked 3SC players protest

FORMER 3SC captain, Sakiru Lawal has led several other players who were shown the exit door by the club to demand the payment of their sign-on fees for the past season.The players met with Oyo State Commissioner for Sports, Dapo Lam Adesina, to press for their outstanding payment.One of the players, Tope Orelope, told MTNFootball.com after their meeting with the commissioner, "We were told to write a request letter seeking the payment of our sign-on fee or if we intend to use it to secure our clearance.'We have written the letter and submitted it to the commissioner and we have been told that the club will get in touch with us as soon as funds are available."Some of the players who were at the secretariat to agitate for their entitlements were Sakiru Lawal, Tope Orelope, Kabiru Alausa, Saburi Omoyayi, Yinka Akande, Seun Afolabi, Sunday Adeyemi and Lekan Gabriel.Shooting Stars barely escaped relegation this past season and are now undergoing a major re-organisation.They have thus far offloaded 19 players ahead of the new season, which kicks off on January 7.
