Oyo LG constructs roads

The Caretaker Committee Chairman, Oluyole Local Government, Ibadan, Mr. Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, has reiterated the Oyo State Governments commitment to the development and welfare of its rural communities through the local government administrations.Abass-Aleshinloye spoke on Monday at the inauguration of the excess crude oil road projects in the local government.Attributing the present collapse of infrastructure in the various communities to neglect by succeeding administrations, the chairman said the period when government abdicated its responsibility at the expense of the people was over.At this juncture, let me reiterate our determination to key-in fully into the new policy of the state government as regards the delivery of quality roads. Ours will be a departure from the former practice whereby roads begin to fail few months after completion, Abass-Aleshinloye said.The road projects being undertaken by the council are the asphaltic construction of Kolajo-Ile Sheu Road, Olomi and Abegunde-Oremeji Road, Odo Ona Elewe.
