Ajimobi at Igbeti, promises even distribution of projects

THE present administration in Oyo Statewill leave no stone unturned to uplift the welfare of the inhabitants of the state, just as it will ensure development of all the nooks and crannies of the state.According to a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media to the deputy governor, Mr Sola Adegoke, the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi made the declaration while speaking at the 4th Igbeti Day celebration held at Ogunbode Memorial Grammar School, Igbeti in Olorunsogo Local Government Area of the state.The governor, who was represented on the occaison by his deputy, Chief Moses Adeyemo, disclosed that his administration had employed 20,000 youths in fulfillment of his campaign promise and consequently, reduced the rate of unemployment among young school leavers.While stressing that no nation could develop in an atmosphere of chaos and instability, Senator Ajimobi added that his administration would not relent in its effort at sustaining the current peaceful atmosphere in the state.As part of effort to ensure security of lives and properties in the state, he said his administration had inaugurated joint security patrol consisting of police and military personnel while new patrol vehicles were so also given to the police.Senator Ajimobi assured that Igbeti town would be given its fair share in the scheme of things, saying that six roads would be rehabilitated in the town in the on-going statewide road rehabilitation exercise embarked upon by his administration.He, therefore, sought the support and cooperation of the inhabitants of the town as his administration strived to reposition, restore and transform the state to its pace-setter status.Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, Transition Committee, Olorunsogo Local Government, Mr Raimi Ajibola Oyebisi, urged all sons and daughters of Igbeti, irrespective of their socio-economic religious or political affiliations, to work ceaselessly for the progress of Igbeti, assuring that his administration would deliver dividends of democracy at the door step of the inhabitants of the town.Earlier in his address, the Onigbeti of Igbeti, Oba Emmanuel Oyekan Oyebisi Afasegbejo III called on investors to take advantage of raw materials which abound in the town and invest in the area, assuring potential investors of support by the community.
