GRC Motorsport partners firm for Team Nigeria

GRC Motorsport has signed an agreement with United Autosports as technical partner to run Team Nigeria Racing Eagle.The signing of the agreement with United Autosports, a renowned United Kingdom (UK)-based racing team founded by Briton Richard Dean and American Zak Brown, is part of GRC Motorsport's preparations ahead of the staging of the FIA GT World Series in Nigeria next year.According to the Chief Executive Officer of GRC Motorsport, Ribi Adeshokan, with this agreement, Nigeria Racing Eagle will be racing with Audi R8 LMS, and GRC chose United Autosports as a technical partner because of the people behind it.'Zak Brown owns the biggest motorsport marketing company in the world, JMI, with its portfolio including Diagio, UBS, LG and Xerox,' he noted. 'Zak is being tipped to succeed Bernie Ecclestone, while Richard Dean is a successful race driver and was former managing director of Zytek Engineering and Gineta Car.'According to him, the organisers of the FIA GT Series, SRO Motorsport Group, are very excited about this latest development and were looking forward for Team Nigeria GT Series to join one of the greatest motorsport series in the world.Adeshokan also said that a national team called The Team Nigeria (Racing Eagle), which GRC would raise, would compete in FIA GT3 Series - a Grand Touring Series - having super sport car manufacturers like Audi, McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin, Maserati, Porsche and BMW competing with their most prestigious and iconic models.'In 2012, the Racing Eagles will fly the flag of Nigeria, promoting Nigerian image to the world at the FIA GT prestigious events in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, United Kingdom, United States, China, Macau, Malaysia, Australia, Germany, Brazil and ultimately Lagos, Nigeria.
