Forced rush for PhD, cancer to kill art, Nigeria

Current rave in the arts is docotrate degrees and professorial titles. Even as experts cry that such qualification is allien and distractive to art practice as well as productivity in the field, government seems to press for it. The result is a growing slide in the arts' contribution to national advancement and economy. Prof. Ola Oloidi addressed this issue recently.
