Sunderland's Gus Poyet Sent Off After Altercation with Steve Bruce

Published by Bleacher Report on Wed, 04 Mar 2015

Gus Poyet and Steve Bruce engaged in a rare but always entertaining touchline altercation during their Premier League clash on Tuesday night, and Poyet was sent off.Poyet and Bruce had a not-so-pleasant exchange with each other, at the end of which Poyet dismissively walked away and sarcastically applauded Bruce.Poyet kicked out at drinks bucket after Rodwell booked for diving. Seemed annoyed at Bruce's part in his dismissal. Crazy days. #SAFC Paul Fraser (@paulfraserecho) March 3, 2015Bruce, unsurprisingly, was unimpressed with Poyet's antics and tried to confront him over it, only to be held back by the fourth official.See video of the incident here. The Internet still had quite a bit of fun in response to the altercation.Steve Bruce getting into a fight, but not with Poyet, he really wanted something... pic.twitter.com/QgATsjW9S8 TouchyFM (Josh) (@TouchyFm) March 3, 2015"You took that last f*cking sausage roll didn't you Gus!" pic.twitter.com/3A1cCAV0bz TheSPORTbible (@TSBible) March 3, 2015Exclusive pictures of that Steve Bruce & Gus Poyet fight. #rumbleonthehumber #hcafc #safc pic.twitter.com/7NCsETaDiA Phlegm Clandango (@Cain_Unable) March 3, 2015Apparently Gus Poyet said something rather unflattering about Steve Bruce's beloved pigeons, and has been sent off pic.twitter.com/EsVx3vLjPu Football Mumble (@FootballMumble) March 3, 2015[Twitter, Getty Images]Read more World Football news on BleacherReport.com
