Nigerian Book of Record for launch

THE country is set to witness the launch of Nigerian Book of Record. The book, according to its promoters, is the country's version of the acclaimed Guinness Book of Record.Chairman, Record Breakers Communications Ltd, the organisers of the event, Tola Olukilede, said 'we are pleased to specially invite the general public to the launching of the much awaited Nigerian encyclopedia of excellence, Nigerian Book of Record, with His Excellency, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) Executive Governor of Lagos State as chief host.'Nine other governors including Cross River, Katsina, Edo, Enugu, Kogi, Benue, Abia, Ogun, Akwa Ibom and distinguished professionals, captains of industries, academicians honoured in the book for their commitment to promoting excellence will surely grace the occasion. It is a history that has never happened in Nigeria or Africa before'.Olukilede said the effort is also to identify 'coaches' who will serve as mentors to upcoming Nigerians.'I have a coach. Someone whom I look up to as my mentor. So, in coming out with the Nigerian Book of Record, we have clearly identified coaches that upcoming Nigerians can look up to as their mentors,' Olukilede said.On his part, the Managing Director, Record Breakers Communications, David David, described Nigerian Book of Record as a compendium of foremost Nigerians who have achieved extra-ordinary feats in their franchise.'The book is flamboyantly encased,' he said.The event slated for December 30th 2011 at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, is under the chairmanship of Chief Rochas Okorochas, the Executive Governor of Imo State.
