Loss of April polls in SouthWest has taught PDP a lesson -Alhaji Lawal Akilapa

Alhaji Lawal Akilapa is a foundation member of the Unity Party of Nigeria, (UPN), as well as the Popeles Democratic Party (PDP). In his sitting room, he proudly displays his certificate of membership of the UPN duly signed by the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Though, a soldier, he was one of those in attendance at meetings at Chief Awolowo's house at 10 Park Lane, Apapa in the days leading up to the formation of the party in 1978. He was part of those that brought UPN to Oluyole local government of Oyo State in 1979.
