Oyo reiterates commitment to development

Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi has reiterated his administrations commitment towards the development of the state.The governor stated this on Thursday during the ceremony of the construction of the fly-over bridge at the Mokola Roundabout in Ibadan.Ajimobi said, It is a testimony to the fact that we desire good and robust life for the people of Oyo State. At this juncture, it may be apposite to state that being a federal road and a fly-over bridge is one of the tools to reduce conflict at intersections which shall consequently reduce accidents, loss of lives and man-hour wastage at junctions.This particular flyover was, therefore, conceived as part of the over all vision and mission of this administration to restore, reposition and transform the state and her citizens transportation to higher efficiency and effectiveness.The fly-over bridge, which is expected to cost the state government N2.13bn, is expected to be completed within 12 months.The governor, who hinted that the fly-over bridge would be handled by Messrs CCECC Nigeria Limited, said the construction of the bridge on the Sango-Mokola-Dugbe Road, would translate to less stressful journey for the citizens.
