Oyinlola hails sponsors of 2011 President Cup

THE President of the Nigeria Golf Federation, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has said the 2011 President Cup will go down on record as one that was made successful by strategic alliances with several interests including sponsors, golfers and the government.Oyinlola, speaking on the award night of the weeklong championship at the Sheraton Hotels in Abuja said, "We have Globacom to thank for the success of this years edition of the President Cup. Their boldness to stand out of the events major sponsor is commendable.He went on to say that the Federation equally commend other corporate partners it enjoyed on the way to making the event successful including Sheraton Hotel and Resort, Ogun State Government, Bolingo Holdings, Air Nigeria, Nicon Luxury, Emirates Suite, Chelsea Hotel and IBB International Golf and Country Club.The NGF boss also thanked the presidency for sending a delegate that was led by the Senate President, Senator David Mark to be part of the event both at the opening ceremony and at the award night."There can be other way to get presidential accent to an event than that and we hope that our gesture to have the President; Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to play golf would be accepted"The President Cup is a golf event in honour of the sitting present of Nigeria, the crown event for the game of golf and it is organised by the Nigeria Golf Federation.
