Kwara House directs LG to develop Olukotun village

Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Honourable Abdulrazaq Atunwa, has directed the authorities of Ifelodun Local Government Area to liaise with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to look into the possibility of establishing a primary school in Olukotun Village in the local government area.The speaker, who gave the directive while reading out the resolution of the House on a report submitted by the House Committee chairman Energy, Works and Transport, Hon.Abdulkareem Abdulganiyu, said the directive was as a result of a petition written by the Olukotun village, entitled, Re: Olukotun village forgotten and neglected community in Ifelodun Local Government Area.The House further directed Ifelodun Local Government Area to, as a matter urgency, grade the road leading into the village.The resolution also urged the state government to include Olukotun village in its Phase III rural electrification programme.
