ITF out to eliminate discrimination against Nigerian women in work place, says Akpan

Comrade Mary Akpan, the West Africa Women Coordinator of International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) has declared that a fresh step to drive home the high rate of discrimination against women and violence against women in work place is a serious issue that must be tackled at all levels in Nigeria. In an interview with journalists at a pre-seminar forum organised by ITF on capacity/campaign for elimination of violence against women, she insist that Government should ensure that the gender issue on elective position in Nigeria be strictly followed in line with the international labour standard.
