Biodun Oyeleye reports on the life and politics of Senator Sulaiman Salawu, veteran politician and chairman of Kwara state branch of Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) who answered the final call on December 16.Dateline: November 22, 2011. A group of journalists sauntered into the Kingstone Hotel, Ilorin to meet their host. As usual, he was not to be found in the most attractive section of the hotel. Rather, he had chosen a corner not too far from the outside bar; under a bamboo hut that provided a natural shade against the artificial conditioning in the posh rooms and halls of the hotel.
