Yuletide: Visitors, indigenes are safe ' Chime

Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime, has said that adequate measures have been taken by his administration to ensure the security of indigenes and visitors to the state during the Yuletide.Chime urged Nigerians to use the celebrations to renew their commitment to the promotion of values of brotherliness and unity.In a Christmas message by his Chief Press Secretary, Chukwudi Achife, he said the celebration was an opportunity to reflect on Gods love for man as shown in the gift of his begotten son. This, he said, would help Nigerians to show respect for each others right to life and peaceful co-existence.He said, "As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and the joy it brings to the world, we must use this occasion to rededicate ourselves to values and virtues of love, tolerance, brotherliness and unity."Adequate measures have been taken to ensure security as well as the provision of social amenities including the rehabilitation of roads in both rural and urban areas to enhance movement and communications."He enjoined citizens to eschew any act that would disturb the peace of the people during the celebration, adding that they should rather engage in activities that would foster the joy for which the season was known.
