Gay Marriage Not Christian Marriage

THE Archdeacon of Enugu Diocese, Venerable Davidson Udodi, has said that Christian marriage is not gay marriage.Speaking during the wedding ceremony between Adaobi Okoye and Zoltan Ebozue at Our Saviour Church, Diocese of Lagos (Anglican Communion), Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos,he said Christian marriage should be between husband and wife as was ordained by God.'It is not gay marriage. Marriage is legally recognized as between a man and a woman. It is divine institution between a man and a woman. God provides a woman as a helper to a man,' he said.He disclosed that marriage should be founded upon the right institution. 'You have found your rib,' he said.According to him marriage is a permanent bond and intimate relationship between a man and a woman. 'God provides a man as a helper to a woman,' he quoted Ephesians 5; 23.'Allow trust, fidelity to prevail.Faith must be the guiding pyramid. Over 70 percent of marriages are crashing because people consider marriage as a ceremony. No, it is a spiritual exercise,' he added.
