NOC Unveils Olympics Clock Countdown Today

THE stage is set for the unveiling of the Olympics Clock countdown ahead of the London 2012 Olympics Games today at Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.The event, which is being put together by the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and its partner IMPC Limited, is aimed at celebrating the country's participation at the games.Chief Executive officer of IMPC Limited, Goke Dokun, said that theclock countdown would also be used to celebrate the country's 60 years of participating in the Olympic Games and also to showcase the cultural heritage of the country.The unveiling, which is expected to attract top dignitaries in sport circles would also have top musicians in attendance and cultural display by dance groups.'What we are trying to do with the Olympics clock countdown is to begin an official countdown to the game and to celebrate the NOC's 60 years participation at the games. The unveiling would also be used to showcase the country's rich culture to the outside world and it promises to be exciting,' he stated.
