RESENTMENT and controversy trailing moves by the federal government to remove fuel subsidy is due to fear of mismanagement of proceeds of such removal, member of the House of Representatives, representing Pankshin/Kanam/Kanke federal constituency, Plateau State, Emmanuel Go'ar, has said. Go'ar who spoke with journalists in Jos yesterday, said the resentment is due to lack of trust based on previous experiences, adding that government needs to come up with justifiable reasons to convince Nigerians and also feel pulses concerning actions it intends to take. He said: 'Making it an elitist affair won't help both the government and the people. In the past our government had not been upright enough in terms of management of resources, so there is the need for this government to come up with cogent reasons why it must remove the subsidy and how it is going to manage the proceeds.'Prisoners Get AmnestyGOVERNOR Ajimobi of Oyo State on Friday granted amnesty to 10 prisoners in commemoration of the yuletide season.
