From almajiri to Boko Haram... a sore festers

Jama'atu ahlus Sunnah Lid da'wati wal Jihad, generally known as Boko Haram, is an Islamic group that has adopted violence as its medium of expression. Its activities in the northern part of the country are, perhaps, the biggest challenge facing both the geo-political zone and the administration President Goodluck Jonathan, given the security threat that the sect poses to the nation.
