Dike linked with 3SC job

UNCONFIRMED report has revealed that former Rangers International coach, Alphonsus Dike has been appointed as the new coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan.It was gathered that the coach who recently threw in the towel as the chief coach of the Flying Antelopes had a meeting with the Oyo State commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dapo Adesina after which a deal was reportedly struck.Dike, in a telephone conversation with Tribunesports denied the development stressing that he also heard the rumour of his appointment.''My, friend, I am also hearing about it, but I need you to help me confirm what is really happening,'' said the former Golden Eaglets coach who was not forthcoming in replying when he was asked if he was in Ibadan for a meeting with the commissioner.However, when contacted, the Administrative Manager of 3SC, Mr Demola Alabi denied the knowledge of Dike's appointment.''As I am talking to you my brother, I cannot confirm the appointment of Dike officially. I also heard about it on the television and I have been making efforts to get the commissioner for confirmation.''Efforts to reach the commissioner however, proved abortive as he refused to pick his calls.
