Idoko dedicates award to God, Mimiko

OYO State chapter' of the Sports Writers' Association of Nigeria (SWAN) 2011 best administrator of the year, Mike Idoko has dedicated his award to God and the governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.The Executive director of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) was one the personalities honoured during the association's investiture and award night held last week at the D' Rovans Hotel as part of activities marking its 2011 week.In his short remarks after receiving the award, the former spokesman of the pioneer board of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) said: ''I will like to dedicate this award to God Almighty who has always been my strenght whereever I go.'I also dedicate it to His Excellency, the executive governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko for giving me the opportunity to use my talent in the state inspite of the fact that I am not from Ondo State or even South West.'Idoko declared that he also owed the boardmembers of the ODSFA, the technical crew and the players of all the teams under the agency lots of gratitude for the successes he has so far recorded since taking up the appointment.The former Warri Wolves General Manager expressed his appreciation to members of the Oyo SWAN for recognising his performance saying. " I want to thank Oyo SWAN for this recognition and honour which came after I was given similar recognition by the Ondo State Chapter of the association.''Idoko, however, added that the honour will spur him to do more for the development of football in Nigeria as a whole.
