THE Supersand Eagles chief coach, Adamu Audu, has called for the introduction of Beach Soccer League in the country. An elated Audu, still savouring his side's victory over Brazil in the final of the maiden edition of Copa Lagos Beach Soccer said the introduction of beach soccer league will go a long way in helping the growth of the game in the country.According to him, there are many Nigerian players who are not lucky with regular football but will want to try their luck in Beach Soccer and could not do so because there was no venue to do so but with the introduction of Beach Soccer League, they will be able to exhibit their talent and realise their dream .Speaking further, Audu who commended his boys for putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians appealed to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to consider having beach soccer league saying that it will boost competition for selection of players to the Supersand Eagles.''There is need for the establishment of beach soccer league to boost the game in the country and to help empower the young players, who might not be lucky in regular football.''He added: 'there are many players in the country who are interested in beach soccer and with the successful hosting of the Copa Lagos Beach Soccer competition, the future is bright in the country,' he said.
