Create state police

The pessimist does not want the agitation for state police to succeed! But the cost/benefit analysis of its implementation shows it will be a big boost to the social, economic and political stability of the country. The federal police in states should be intact but to stay out of states matters except on concurrent issues as directed by the federal and state governments. State police will enhance security and intelligence network nationwide and reduce cost at the federal level. State judiciary should be strengthened to meet up the checks and balancesunfolding challenges. Excesses of the police will be drastically reduced since all of them are within their locality. The highest budget has gone into security for year 2012 and therefore President Jonathan and the National Assembly should work out the modality of state police creation.
