Year 2011: Rise in music, film sectors but death dulls bright mood

MOSES KADIRI takes a look at Nigerian entertainment industry this year and reports a rise in activity but notes the sad blow of deaths and poor incentives. He reports:NO doubt, year 2011 was a significant one in the Nigerian entertainment sector. In all ends of the industry from movies to music, records of success were manifest. Music experienced a flurry of activity in areas such as art promotion, concerts, awards and recognitions among others. There were also some new hits. Though some of the new releases lack depth, the good ones outmatched the bad.
