Tribune MD attributes success to God 'As cleric declares total liberation for company, workers

The success recorded by the African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) Plc, publishers of the Tribune titles, in the outgoing year has been attributed to God.The Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Reverend Sam Adesua, represented by the Editor of the Nigerian Tribune, Mr Edward Dickson, made the submission on Wednesday at the Tribune House during the end-of-the-year thanksgiving of the Tribune Christian Fellowship, on the theme, 'Fear not, I am with you.'The managing director said that the outgoing year had been eventful and God had been merciful and faithful to the work force, adding that the company, as a corporate entitly, had no reason to mourn over the loss of any staff.Reverend Adesua said that God had been working with the Tribune titles supernaturally, adding that it was He that had been piloting the affairs of the company without failing its workforce, despite the prevailing harsh economic situations.He, therefore, prayed for unprecedented prosperity of the company and its workforce that would be beyond human experience in the new year. He added that God would divert corporate organisations and individuals with business accumen to the Nigerian Tribune in the new year for partnership.Earlier, in his message at the thanksgiving service, the guest minister, Evangelist Ademola Adegbola, of the Christ Pentecostal Salvation International Ministry, Ibadan, prayed to God to pitch His tent with the company and its workforce so that the company could witness a surprising development.Taking his message from Genesis 26: 1 to 5, Isaiah 63 and Acts of the Apostles 10, he urged the workers to be sensitive to the power of the Holy Spirit, saying that God would locate them individually and as a corporate entity and give back to them their lost glory.While praying for the total liberation of the company and its workforce, he said that God is always behind success, adding that the event would mark a turning point in the lives of individuals and the organisation, which would culminate in a progressive development.Management staff on the occasion included the Chief Accountant, Mrs Remi Awofisayo; Credit Control Manager, Samuel Afolabi; Senior Manager (Nursing), Biodun Ajewole and Mrs Modupe Olubanjo, from Globacom Ltd.
