Crown Flour expands

Crown Flour Mill Limited has announced the intention to expand its wheat milling capacity with a total capital outlay of about N8bn.In a statement on Thursday, the firm said the expansion was an aftermath of its acquisition by Olam International Limited, a global integrated supply chain manager and processor of agricultural products and food ingredients. The statement noted that CFM was acquired by Olam in January 2010, adding that the company had two port-based milling facilities in Lagos and Warri, with total installed capacity of 1,630 metric tones per day, as well as a noodles plant in Lagos.CFM, according to the statement, is the owner Supreme Flour, Supreme Noodles Flour, Supreme semolina, Superb Mix and Bake Flour and Cherie Noodles.
