A leading Peoples Democratic Party member in Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Zainawa, has appealed to the people to support Governor Rabiu Kwankwasos presidential bid in 2015.He said Kwankwasos emergence would lead to the emancipation of Nigerians from political bondage and economic stagnation.Zainawa, who is the PDP Elders Committee Chairman in Gezawa Local Government Area of the state, said the governor would ensure that security and unity exist in the country. He said, "Considering his wealth of experience and outstanding performance as Kano State Governor from 1999 to 2003 and now in his second coming, Kwankwaso deserves to be Nigerias next President come 2015."According to Zainawa, Kwankwaso has performed as governor and as Minister of Defence, adding that his experience is greatly required to move the country forward."He is the kind of leader the country needs due to his foresight and quest to transform the country into a stable economy that can compete favourably with developing nations of the world," he said.Zainawa listed some of Kwankwasos achievements to include women and youth empowerment as well as the transformation of the health sector. He also listed the construction of modern classroom blocks across the state, re-introduction of free-feeding for primary school pupils and establishment of 18 institutions including the Kano Reformatory Institute in Kiru as some of his achievements."Kwankwaso is a proactive leader that went into politics with the aim of assisting women, youths and the less-privileged. If Kwankwaso becomes the President of Nigeria come 2015, Nigeria will be great again," he said.
