Akuneto guns for Flying Eagles job

FORMER Stationery Stores of Lagos and Rangers International FC of Enugu's player, Chukwuma Akuneto has joined the race for the position of the National Under 20 coaching job just as he said he has the capability of turning around the team for better.As contained in an email sent to Tribunesports, the FC United's Club, (Manchester youth team) head coach stated that it would be a great honour and privilege for him to be involved in coaching capacity with the Nigeria national U-20, he added that he was interested in the job because he had the competence, knowledge, enthusiasm, professional qualification, methodology, experience and hardwork required to make a positive contribution to the development of youth football in the country.Speaking further, the Manchester Football Association Technical Advisor for U18 representative team for the last four seasons and the head football coach/sports tutor, the Manchester College said it will be a great joy if giving the opportunity to handle the team going by his wealth of experience gathered over the years in Manchester as a coach and as players .Also in the race for the National U 20 team are former Super Eagles player Ben Iroha and the U17 Silver winning coach John Obuh.The player scout, Blackburn Rovers Football Club, said,''having served in various capacity with youth football in England, I think if given the chance to serve as the national U 20 coach ,the fortune of the country's youth football will change because I have all it takes to turn things around,'' he said.
