Kidnapping: Police rescue 2 children, recover N5m

THE two kidnapped children of the chairman of Petroleum Tanker Drivers Association in Warri, Mr Godstime Emaghegbe, have reunited with their family.The two children, 11- year -old,  Ninee and her younger brother, Akpos (nine) were kidnapped at the gate of Wisdom School, Effurun near Warri while being taken to school two weeks ago.The anti-terrorist squad of the Delta State Police Command rescued the children from a hideout near Warri  after spending two weeks with the criminals.Three  members of a family, including a native doctor  were arrested in connection with the abduction while the sum of N5.1million paid as ramson by the parents of the children, a human skull and a dane  gun were recovered in the native doctor`s house at Udu.The state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Mamman Tsafe, while parading the criminals on Tuesday, gave the names of the suspects as Ediri Itu, Raphael Okafor, Folorunsho Olusegun, Peter Fadar (the native doctor), Patience Fadar, the jujumans daughter, Sunday Fadar and Owumi Meshaca.A member of the group, simply identified as Gift was killed during a shootout with the police.
